Hear What Exhibitors Say |

“This is the first time for our association to organize a Korea Pavilion at Hong Kong International Stationery Fair. We wanted to come to the fair this year because we knew there would be many European buyers here. All of our exhibitors have the goal of meeting more buyers, especially European buyers. We met a buyer from Poland for the first time today and we’ve met many other buyers so far. We hope to have successful business at the fair and we would like to come back and manage a Korean pavilion again next year. We represent many companies through the Korea Stationery Industry Cooperative. Korean stationery is second in Asia, behind Japan.”
Young Joong Kim, Manager, Korea Stationery Industry Cooperative, Korea

“We have attended the fairs for more than ten years and we usually gain 5% of new clients every year. The fair proves itself to be effective and thus we come every year. We come here mainly to keep contact with our existing clients. We see more visitors this year. We have talked to about 20 visitors, coming from Arab, United States, Hong Kong as well as India, some of them showed their interest in our products and raised some enquiries. We have received some useful contacts. At the show I obtained the latest industry trends and intelligence and we have to keep developing new products to keep our customers. I think the fair is useful and professional.”

“We come here because this is the largest stationery fair in Asia. We would like to connect with more business partners from different countries in Europe and Asia. We have got visitors from India, Dubai, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea today. The visitors are serious buyers who are mainly managers and directors with purchasing power. Visitors are quite interested in our new products. We are happy that we gained exposure and publicity for our products. The fair is held in Hong Kong, which attracts a lot of Asian professional buyers. The product trend is starting to emerge to stationery combined with digital functions, e.g. smartphone. I think the market prospect in Asia is satisfactory this year as the industry pays more attention on research and design.” Rella Wu, Company Representative, Interlink Enterprise Co., Ltd.

Hear What Buyers Say |

“We are the largest stationery supplier for the Middle East and Africa. We mostly export products and we supply all stationery products. This isn’t my first time at Hong Kong International Stationery Fair, I came 3-4 years ago. I come to get new ideas about designs and packaging. I want to visit the exhibitors and take a look around. We carry lots of stock – about 500 – 600 containers and we have several products. I also come here to have discussions with my suppliers and for networking. I’ve met one new potential supplier of tapes from the Chinese mainland. The quality of products from the Chinese mainland is getting better and we look for reasonable quality for a reasonable price. Because the stationery business is decreasing due to more modern technology, we focus a lot on school stationery and supplies. School stationery is part of the business that will not diminish. The office stationery sector has changed because more businesses are moving away from using paper. But children will always need more stationery supplies and arts & crafts supplies, so that’s what our business has been focusing on.” Firoz Rangwala, General Manager, Al Fahidi Stationery Centre, United Arab Emirates

Our company is a trading company for toys, stationery and gift items. We are first time here sourcing licensed stationery like from the Disneyland and Universal Studio and I have already found them in the fair. We target companies with factories in the Chinese mainland. Overall I am satisfied with the quality of exhibitors as their products are innovative and their companies are well-established. The fair is useful as it helps me to find those qualified vendors easily and instantly. The Stationery show is one of the most important and leading platforms for the industry in Asia Pacific. In 2016, I think the industry trend will be on DIY especially for gift products as people prefer creative products to traditional ones, and consumers like unique products with some gimmicks. I expect the stationery market in Asia Pacific will develop steadily. I will recommend this fair to my industry friends.
Kwok Yat Man, Company Representative, NICON LTD., Hong Kong
